BattleVive Privacy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
BattleVive (“Project ReVIVE”, “we”, “us”) is a community platform for the game Battlerite. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have — including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and United States privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We designed BattleVive to collect as little as possible. For cookies specifically, see the Cookies Policy tab; to exercise a right or request your data, see Data Requests.
Who we are (data controller)
BattleVive / Project ReVIVE operates this website. For any privacy request or question you can reach us through our community server at the ReVIVE Discord.
What data we collect
When you sign in with Discord, BattleVive itself receives and stores from your Discord account: your Discord username/display name, your avatar image URL, and your Discord user ID. Nothing on this site ever reads, displays, or uses your email address.
Separately, Discord’s own login process passes an email address to our authentication backend (Supabase) as a required, unavoidable part of how “Sign in with Discord” works everywhere it’s offered — this is a technical requirement of the login mechanism, not something BattleVive asks for, chooses to collect, or has any use for. It sits only in that authentication layer, never in a page, profile, or export you or anyone else can see on BattleVive.
As you use the site we store gameplay data you generate: teams and games you join, draft picks/bans, match results and seasonal rating (MMR), guides you write, and console/activity events for your games.
We do not collect payment details (support is handled by third parties such as Patreon and Ko‑fi under their own policies), and we do not run advertising or cross‑site tracking.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We process this data to provide the service you asked for — creating your profile, running matchmaking, drafts, tournaments and leaderboards, and showing match history. Under the GDPR our legal basis is performance of a contract (providing the platform you signed up to) and our legitimate interest in operating a fair, functional community. Where we ever rely on consent (for any optional, non‑essential cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with, and where it's processed
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the site on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication) and Cloudflare (hosting/CDN), both of which may process data on servers outside your own country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable). Your public profile information (display name, avatar, stats) is visible to other users by the nature of a community leaderboard.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile and gameplay data while your account exists so your history and rankings remain available. If you delete your account, your personal profile rows are removed and your name is detached from shared game records — see Data Requests.
Your rights, in short
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The full process for exercising these — including account deletion, export, and California-specific rights — is covered in Data Requests.
Children
BattleVive is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes affecting consent, ask again through the cookie banner.
