Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BattleVive, also known as Project ReVIVE (“BattleVive”, “we”, “us”) — a community-run, non-commercial website and matchmaking/tournament platform built around the game Battlerite. By creating an account or otherwise using BattleVive, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site. This is a plain-language document written for a small community project, not a substitute for professional legal advice — see the disclaimer at the end.
1. Who can use BattleVive
You must be at least 16 years old to create a BattleVive account. If your country sets a different minimum age of digital consent, the higher age applies to you. You’re responsible for making sure your use of Battlerite itself also complies with Stunlock Studios AB’s own terms for that game — BattleVive is a separate, independent project (see our IP & Copyright tab).
2. What BattleVive is (and isn't)
BattleVive is a community hub for Battlerite players: a matchmaking queue and draft/lobby coordination tool, tournaments, seasonal leaderboards, match history, and player-written guides, with sign-in via Discord. Matches themselves are played using the official Battlerite game client — BattleVive does not run or emulate Battlerite’s own game servers, and has no control over that game’s netcode, anti-cheat, or in-match connectivity.
BattleVive is an independent fan project. It is not produced, owned, operated, or endorsed by Stunlock Studios AB, the developer and rights holder of Battlerite.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Discord account; we don’t offer a separate password-based login. Keep your Discord account secure — anyone with access to it can access your BattleVive account. One account per person; do not create duplicate accounts to evade a suspension, manipulate the leaderboard, or dodge matchmaking. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information tied to your profile.
4. Community conduct
Using BattleVive’s queue, drafts, tournaments, chat, or guides means following our Acceptable Use Policy, which covers fair play, respectful conduct, and what isn’t allowed. Violations can lead to a warning, suspension, or permanent ban at our discretion.
5. Content you submit
Guides, profile information, and anything else you post on BattleVive remain yours. By posting it, you grant BattleVive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content on the site (and its Discord community) for as long as your content or account exists. Don’t submit content you don’t have the rights to, or that violates the Acceptable Use Policy — we can remove it, and your account, if it does.
6. Third parties, and no payments through us
BattleVive runs on Discord (sign-in and community chat), Supabase (database/authentication), and Cloudflare (hosting). Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. If we ever link to community support options such as Patreon or Ko-fi, any payment is made directly to and processed by that third party under its own terms — BattleVive itself does not collect, process, or store payment details.
7. Availability and changes
BattleVive is provided on a best-effort, volunteer basis with no uptime guarantee. Features, seasons, matchmaking rules, and tournament formats may change, and we may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You can stop using BattleVive at any time; see Data Requests for how to ask us to delete your account and data.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
BattleVive is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or outcome of matches played on the official Battlerite game itself, for disputes between players, or for any loss arising from your use of the site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to BattleVive is limited to zero, since BattleVive is provided free of charge. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example, liability for fraud or, where applicable, statutory consumer-protection rights you cannot waive).
10. Governing law
Because BattleVive is an independent, volunteer-run community project without a fixed corporate jurisdiction, these Terms are intended to be interpreted under the law of your own country or state of residence, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that law gives you. If you need a specific governing-law clause for a formal purpose, contact us on Discord.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as BattleVive evolves. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we do; continuing to use BattleVive after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Not legal advice
This document is written in plain language for a small, non-commercial community project and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction. If you have a legal question about these Terms, please consult a professional.
