Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 2026

BattleVive only works if matchmaking, drafts, tournaments, and the leaderboard mean something — that depends on everyone playing fair and treating each other decently. This policy sets out what we expect. It applies everywhere on BattleVive: the queue, drafts, matches, tournaments, guides, profiles, and our Discord.

Fair play & competitive integrity

No cheating, exploiting bugs or glitches for advantage, boosting or smurfing to manipulate matchmaking rating or the leaderboard, match-fixing, or deliberately throwing/ghosting (feeding match information to the opposing side). Report bugs to us instead of exploiting them.

Respectful conduct

No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors, or targeted abuse of any kind, in text chat, guide content, profile fields, or your BattleVive Discord conduct. This is a zero-tolerance area — a single serious violation can result in an immediate permanent ban.

Account & queue integrity

One account per person. Don’t create alternate accounts to evade a suspension, to smurf, or to dodge a queue penalty. Don’t share your account, and don’t queue with the intent of AFK-ing, stalling drafts, or otherwise disrupting matches for other players.

Tournaments

Follow the ruleset and the ruling of tournament organizers for the event you’ve entered. Roster/account sharing, ringers (playing under someone else’s registered slot), and deliberately abusing tournament bracket/scheduling mechanics are not allowed.

Technical use of the site & API

Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with BattleVive’s matchmaking, queue, or infrastructure. If you use our public API (for example, to build a Discord bot), stay within its documented, published limits — don’t scrape it to build a competing service. Don’t impersonate BattleVive staff, partners, or tournament organizers.

Content standards

Guide content, profile fields, and anything else you post should be your own work (or properly credited), relevant to Battlerite/BattleVive, and free of illegal content, spam, or unrelated advertising.

Enforcement

Violations can lead to a warning, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban, at our discretion and proportional to the violation — some conduct (see “Respectful conduct” above) warrants an immediate permanent ban with no warning. If you think a decision was made in error, you can appeal via our Discord.
