BattleVive

Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

BattleVive (“Project ReVIVE”, “we”, “us”) is a community platform for the game Battlerite. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have — including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and United States privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We designed BattleVive to collect as little as possible.

Who we are (data controller)

BattleVive / Project ReVIVE operates this website. For any privacy request or question you can reach us through our community server at the ReVIVE Discord.

What data we collect

When you sign in with Discord, we receive and store from your Discord account: your Discord username/display name, your avatar image URL, your Discord user ID, and your email address (used only to identify your account).

As you use the site we store gameplay data you generate: teams and games you join, draft picks/bans, match results and seasonal rating (MMR), achievements and tournament cups, guides you write, and console/activity events for your games.

We do not collect payment details (support is handled by third parties such as Patreon and Ko‑fi under their own policies), and we do not run advertising or cross‑site tracking.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We process this data to provide the service you asked for — creating your profile, running matchmaking, drafts, tournaments and leaderboards, and showing match history. Under the GDPR our legal basis is performance of a contract (providing the platform you signed up to) and our legitimate interest in operating a fair, functional community. Where we ever rely on consent (for any optional, non‑essential cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies & local storage

BattleVive uses only strictly necessary storage: the authentication session that keeps you logged in (provided by our backend, Supabase), and small local‑storage values for your preferences (sound on/off, chosen font, notification read‑state, and your cookie choice). These are essential to the site working and, under the ePrivacy rules, are exempt from prior consent.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third‑party marketing pixels. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first through the banner and only set such cookies if you accept.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the site on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication) and Cloudflare (hosting/CDN). Your public profile information (display name, avatar, stats, achievements) is visible to other users by the nature of a community leaderboard.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile and gameplay data while your account exists so your history and rankings remain available. If you delete your account, your personal profile rows are removed and your name is detached from shared game records (see your rights below).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. Specifically on BattleVive:

Correct your name — change your display name yourself from your profile (once every 30 days).

Delete your account — request deletion in‑app; an administrator can permanently remove your account, which deletes your personal rows (achievements, ratings, trophies, guides, activity) and detaches your identity from shared match records. You may also ask us via Discord.

Access / export — contact us via Discord to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

California residents — you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. You will never be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Children

BattleVive is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes affecting consent, ask again through the cookie banner.
